Part 2 of 2

(Continuation from Part 1: “Running on Empty”)…

This is what amazes me about this! When we read 2 Corinthians 11 and see all the suffering that Paul went through, and then he later states “When I’m weak, I’m strong”, it’s almost like he knew something was going to come out of all this suffering and weakness. Although he was weak, he was strong? Is it possible to be at your weakest point, yet somehow be at your strongest?

When we read verse 9 of the following chapter, Paul says: “And He [the Lord] said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’” After this revelation, Paul realizes that although he may be feeling weak and running on empty, something great is going to come out of it, and then proceeds to declare those five powerful words: “When I’m weak, I’m strong”.

One thing I’ve noticed about God is that He sometimes chooses our lowest moments to do His greatest works! Not sure if you got that, so let me repeat it: God does His greatest work at our lowest point! When we look through the Bible and see the miracles that Jesus performed, we notice a little pattern. A lot of times, Jesus waited ‘til the very last second to do His miracle. Lazarus had already been dead for 4 days, the family was at the weakest point, Jesus does a great miracle and brings him back to life. The disciples (professional fisherman) were in the middle of a storm and felt like they were going to die, and then Jesus calms the storm. The woman with the issue of blood had been sick for 12 years, had no more resources, and when she felt like she was going to stay like that forever, Jesus performs another miracle. Do you see where I’m going with this? Our lowest point is the platform for His greatest work!

We are at the end of December. 2017 is coming to a close, and we are about to enter into a new season. As I shared in last month’s blog, some of you feel like you are running on empty. 2017 may have consumed you and now you are not sure how 2018 is going to be. You me feel drained and feel like you’re coming to the end, but God is about to do something great in your life!

You may be feeling a little weak, but behind the scenes, God is doing something in your life in preparation for the coming season! I truly believe your 2018 will be greater than your 2017. One thing that has been echoing in my spirit is the word “Refuel”. God is refueling your spiritual tank at this time! You are not weak, and this is not the end of your journey. You are being refueled for a greater task in this coming new season.

You are not weak, you are being refueled! Merry Christmas!
